who we are

At Northwest Baptist Church we believe that our most important mission field is our children!

The Children's programs at Northwest are designed to provide your child with a spiritual foundation upon which they can build the rest of their lives.

We believe that the best way to accomplish this goal is to partner with you, as parents and family, to demonstrate God's principles lived out daily. Below is more information on all of the different events and activities that Northwest provides for your family.

Awana is an internationally renowned program that seeks to create a partnership between parents and churches. The Awana program is broken down into three distinct age groups; preschoolers attend Cubbies, K - 2nd grades attend Sparks, and 3rd - 5th grades attend Truth in Training.

At Northwest Baptist Church, our Awana program meets once a week on Wednesday evenings beginning in September from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., and runs concurrent with the school year. Awana incorporates games and rewards with challenging Bible based activities in order to help your child grow spiritually.

Our nursery provides a loving and safe environment for babies and toddlers from birth to two years of age. Nursery is provided for all worship services and Sunday School.

For nursing mothers, a comfortable private room is available for you to nurse your baby.

Sunday School

Our preschool through 5th grade Sunday School is offered during both Sunday morning services and is designed so that your child may experience the abundant joy of knowing and loving God. As our teachers instill a knowledge of the Scriptures which are able to make even a child "wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15), they communicate God's love and help each child to understand God's special care and purpose for each life. As the children grow in their knowledge and faith, they are encouraged and guided to carry the love they have experienced to others at church, at home, at school and in their neighborhoods.
